Master P Rounds Out Top Ten List for Highest Paid
Entertainers:
"Forbes" magazine's list of the highest paid entertainers has
just been released, and No Limit entrepreneur Master P,
a.k.a. Percy Miller, is perched comfortably at number ten.
The 28-year old self-proclaimed "ghetto Bill Gates" debuted
at the ten spot with earnings of $56.5 million, beating out
such people as Will Smith, The Spice Girls, Metallica, Garth
Brooks and Celine Dion. Most notably, P topped Bad Boy
CEO Sean "Puffy" Combs, who placed number 15 with
$53.5 million in earnings. At the top of the list are Jerry
Seinfeld and his partner, followed by Steven Spielberg at
number three. "Forbes" added that No Limit generated an
enormous $100 million in record sales this year and that P
has now expanded into movies, sports management,
clothing lines, real estate and even phone sex. For his first
motion picture movie deal, "I Got the Hook Up," P covered
the $3.5 million budget himself and allowed the distributor
only a percentage of the box office. The film went on to make
$10.5 million in the U.S., grossing $4.4 million in five days.
According to "Forbes," Puffy splits his profit 50-50 with Bad
Boy's parent label Arista. It has been said that Master P's No
Limit label takes home a whopping 80 percent of their profit.
Looks like No Limit are the ones that "just won't stop."
New Videos
The new Master P video for the song Thug Girl has now
been released. It features Silkk the Shocker and Snoop
Dogg. Also, Skull Duggery's first video off of These Wicked
Streets is out. It is for the song If It Don't Make $$$ and
features Master P and Fiend.
It is being rumored that No Limit Records will be taking it's
artists to do their first ever European tour. The rumored dates
are to be in November some time but no confirmation yet. Also,
if you have ordered a copy of Behind Enemy Lines from
Kane-Abel.Com and are wondering when you will get your copy
in around 4-6 weeks and they will be autographed copies. In
October they will be available to be purchased at book stores
nationwide.
August 6th 1998 According to Billboard, Snoop Dogg'z new CD, Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not
To Be Told, is tearing up the charts !!! It is the fastest selling rap album of the year. It is also the
fastest selling album with No Limit, second only to Master P's, Da Last Don.
------------------- BIG NEWS! No limit is now working on a official No Limit Magazine it will be titled tank worldand will be all about No Limit Films and No Limit Records and what is going on around around the no limit world it will be published by Soldier Books there is no word yet on when and where it will be avalible but i will keep you posted . The No Limit group called Tank Dawgs which consisted of three artists which included C-Murder , Fiend & Mac has added a new member which is Snoop Dogg there is still no word on the title or release date of this album i will keep you posted on this . Also in no limit news there have been 2 new female artists signed to No Limit they are twin sisters and they call there selves 2-4-1 you can here there debut songs on the mac cd . | Solja News | ||||||||||||||||
